A vintage rayon slip dress from the 1940s made by Heavenly Lingerie by Fischer. I love all of the slips that were produced by this brand, they are of such high quality and always have beautiful details. This one has unique features like the square neckline, the slit at front and the wider straps that give almost a cap sleeve effect. I wish I had a paper copy of the ad but maybe by seeing the photo, the buyer will be able to track it down! This would work for a smaller size medium and would be gorgeous as part of a vintage bridal trousseau.
Empire Waist 28”
Label: Heavenly Lingerie by Fischer, Rayon
Beautiful condition. The biggest flaw is that the ribbon at front was once pale blue and now has faded with some blue left near the seams which I think is actually very pretty. The satin ribbon is also slightly frayed and unfinished at the ends but in otherwise good strong condition. The floral motif lace trim is in excellent shape and I did not notice any large stains or discoloration under the arms. I love that this slip dress is rayon, it is very wearable and strong, as well as easier to launder than silk! I would still recommend hand wash in cold water only for this item.
Please note that the original ad is not included, I only have a digital image of it. No returns on vintage merchandise, please ask all questions about size or condition before purchase.
