A beautiful 1930s 1940s lace ruffled blouse with a mesh back. This was meant to be worn underneath a jacket or a dress. I love the details: large pink glass buttons (with snaps at back for closures), the lace ruffle at neck that can be worn several different ways, and the darts on the back. The lace has a very slight stretch, but please stay close to measurements, especially for chest. The color was difficult to photograph. It is a very pale peach-pink.

Chest 32” max

Waist 26”

Lengths:

18.5 (shoulder to longest point of center front hem)

12” (buttoned all the way, top small button to hem)

9.5” (top glass button to hem)

Armscye 6.5” flat (13” around)

Label: Jewel Cooke

Flaws: No major holes, snags or discoloration. Two tiny holes on mesh back, see photos. The three large pink glass buttons all have a little bit of chipping and interior cracks, it’s hard to notice because of the pattern of the glass. I would use a little bit of clear puffy paint from a crafts store on any sharp edges, I didn’t have the heart to replace the original buttons. You can also remove the buttons completely if you wish since they are decorative and not functional. The closures are snaps that are hidden behind the large glass buttons, and in addition there are two smaller buttons that loosen or tighten the ruffle (see photos) which are both in excellent condition.

Very wearable with care. Hand wash very gently due to the three glass buttons or remove buttons before cleaning.
