I love this 1940s red rayon novelty print robe!! The print almost looks like dots but it is tiny flowers, a very cool subtle floral pattern. I don’t see this shade of red rayon as often as I see blue and some other colors. 3/4 sleeve, one side pocket on right side of robe, and a clever hidden button closure at front with a metal snap to secure.
Feels so great on! Nothing like the slinky feel of vintage cold rayon. The full skirt makes this robe look like a dress, and it could easily be worn as one with a slip underneath.
Shoulder 15” across
Sleeve length 17”
Armscye 8.5” flat (17” around)
Pit to pit 18.5” flat (37” around, it is open in the front so this measurement is flexible)
Waist 15.5” flat (31” around)
Label: Styled by Saybury
Flaws: a few small spots of discoloration on one sleeve, see last photo. Very minor. I am very detailed when I check things over and I didn’t even notice it at first. A bit of wear on piping at front but as you can see from photos, it presents beautifully. I did add a few stitches to reinforce the button and buttonhole.
